>On 2 December, a reconnaissance battalion came to the town of Khimki—some 30 km (19 mi) away from the Kremlin in central Moscow reaching its bridge over the Moscow-Volga Canal as well as its railway station. This marked the closest approach of German forces to Moscow.
It’s official, the Germans are less impressive than the French.
that was just a test run
Well. Napoleon took mostly German troops to Moscow.
They didn’t make it to IKEA?
It’s all getting a bit Russia cosy on here. Is the OP aware of the current war of aggression being carried out in Ukraine? As current Rus propaganda is based on WW2 triumphs this leaves me a little uneasy, maybe the OP needs to sign up to wagner group.
The Polish marker is in Kremlin.
Khimki, was it? A german combat-engineer patrol got to there and waited for reinforcements that never came. In the end they were driven off by infantry and a number of T-34s.
Looks like the Swedish got closer
Reminds me of Russians taking over Kyiv last year…
…NOT even close.
Go fuck yourself OP. Take your shitty Russian propaganda and shove it
Who cares? They were supported by a coalition whereas Germany was one country fighting in multiple directions. They were horrifically good at it but overreached in the end.
Polish wet dream.
Hint: Matthias Rust.
A lot of WW2-Germany-vs.-Russia posts going around lately. I wonder why that is.
Interesting
OP has a weird post history not gonna lied. He has some obsessions
Pro Putin or not, Russia is Europe and it is a beautiful country and home of some of the redditors in this sub.
Talking about the history, culture and landscapes of Russia doesn’t mean propaganda. Erasing Russia from memory discussions that go beyond the current war is propaganda.
Move along folks, nothing to see here. Move along.
So far
Op maybe try posting something less controversial next time :v Its for sure interesting but besides Yalta Conference, map of territories occupied by Nazi Germany and this post there are other things related to Europe 🙂 magnets on fridges were fun, you should try posting yours.
Reminds me of the obelisk in Victory Park. A stunning representation of the WW2. It is 141.8 metres tall and each 10 cm represents a day in the war. The names of different important battles are listed in chronological order up obelisk surrounded by a sea of struggling people. Absolutely chilling.
Putins Cyber Trolls at their best. And EU Sub Mods are sleeping.
Btw is Ikea still doing business in russia?
Time to break the record.
Time to break the record.
The closes place the Germans got to Moscow so far…
Yet.
There’s an awful lot of Soviet/Russia romanticising regarding WW2 lately.
Considering what Russia is up to in Ukraine at the moment, it sure has a whiff of something…
Nazis however made it all the way
Glory to Ukraine, glory to the heroes!
Thankfully the soviets won. long live the USSR
Ukraine’s gonna get further
What’s with all this Russian propaganda on /r/europe lately?
So far…
should be demolished, like most stuff thats russian built
Has this sub just become a playground for Russians pretending that Ukraine (a country lead by a Jewish president by the way vlad) is somehow the second coming of Hitler.
So they’re out here now, posting this shit, going:
“ooo look look look how we the Russians defeated the nazis, now is a great time to remind we defeated the nazis so that nobody forgets we defeated the nazis so there would be no more nazis”
This has nothing to do with Europe besides being the furthest east Germany went.
Edit: the OP is a Russian boot licking account anyway. Almost no karma and a weird fixation on Russia
