Here is what I found at Walmart in Phoenix AZ. Not the best tasting but its the thought that counts.

  1. They seem to have been imported and travelled all the way from the other side of the pond, right? If so then it’s good they’re at least edible.

  2. Kudus to them for going with the Ą on the packaging! I sometimes see supermarkets sell them as “paczki” and I’m like… you guys should learn that word in Polish means something entirely different 😜

  3. They sell them at Kroger in Texas. I wish they were good but they taste terrible

  4. Oh seen them at Metro in Toronto. Terrific! I got ones with boston cream last year for fat Thursday 🤍highly recommend if anyone stumbles across them!

  5. I’m in the Chicago suburbs and pączki can kinda be dry when we get them from the store. We go to a Polish deli (which is a long drive) and theirs are much better, even though they definitely do not specialize in them. There’s some place in Chicago that makes really good pączki but they’re expensive and you have to order like a year in advance.

  6. There is a place in Minneapolis, MN named Kramarczuks. It’s a European restaurant/deli/gifts/bakery. Everything is made in house. Some grocery item are imported like candies and budyn, etc. It is owned and operated by a Ukrainian family and sell all types of food, mainly from Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. I ordered pączki from them with rose filling and OMG, it was like i was in Poland while eating. It was the real deal. You actually have to pre order them as they sell out fast.

Now i live in Poland and can have them anytime 🙂

  7. Could someone try to give a phonetic rendering of the word for this pastry?
Since i don’t know the correct sounds of the Polish alphabet, it looks like pack-ski to me.

  8. You can find those in Superstore in Canada as well. I was so excited to see them last time I bought a box of every flavour.

  9. Get the real thing… It’s just magic.

Like the pizza debate around pineapple.

Does orange peel belong on pączki?

  10. I also found paczki yesterday at my local grocery store for the first time ever
