Tory millionaires: a party of the rich, for the rich **since 1834**

    FTFY.

  2. Its still just stunning that anyone ever thought otherwise. Like genuinely to think so many working class people in 2019 voted for someone like *Jacob Rees Mogg* because they thought he was a man of the people with his ear close to the bottom of society. It boggles the fucking mind man, its so unreal yet here we are.

  3. > Nadhim Zahawi, ….. said his mistakes were ‘careless not deliberate’.

At that level – that much carelessness is criminal. There is no other way to look at it.

And you can bet he is not alone in rationalizing special allowances for himself but not for others. It’s the hallmark of the Tory party and it’s members and why most of them probably deserve some jail time.

  4. I am seriously waiting for Rees mog to coke to power and be the bringer of the worst headlines ever. I see how he just works in shadows doing greater damage.

  5. That’s been painfully obvious for years and anyone who disagrees has their head in the sand. The gap between rich and poor has only grown as long as the Tories have been in power. More millionaires and billionaires, while food bank usage has soared and warm banks have been set up in response to rising energy prices. You don’t have to like The Guardian or Labour to acknowledge that the Tories have done nothing to help the poor and will continue to go ahead with that strategy as no one is forcing them to stop. With living standards still not back to pre-2008 levels, there is no argument to be made to counter this assertion.

  6. The Tory party has always been a party of the rich for the rich. It mind boggles me that this country still votes for such a terrible party that has such a conflict of interest. The only interest they have in the working man is if that working man gets them more money. That’s it. We are the lesser folk and the lesser folk don’t seem to get it. They only have power over you if you let them. This is why our country is losing all hope and credibility, the people that vote for Tories have caused this. (And I wouldn’t be surprised if a huge margin of said Tory voters were also Leave voter’s too).

  7. The amount of people that actually think their votes matter is staggering. If you want change, you have to fight for it like the french do. Its that simple.

  8. No one group of people should have more money or power than another.

No one person should have 100 times more money or power than another.

  9. Tbf the Tories would not be in power if Labour should a modicum of competency in the last election.
