I think that at this point majority do understand that without NATO we would of been invaded, occupied and Estonia would of been ethnically cleansed, just like they did in Soviet time.
Kaliningrad is so briefly a part of Russia and it will so soon stop being occupied by RU. Bye.

During Estonia’s interwar independence years I think the Russian side was actually part of Estonia? The interwar border was slightly further east but the Soviets changed it for some reason

My homeland!!! So pity that old city of Narva didn’t went through WW2 quite well. Soviets rebuilt like 7-10% of this after war end

Fun fact: Narva is heavily Russian (88%) and from independence until about a decade ago was a thorn in Estonian politics. In 1993, there was even a unilateral push for autonomy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_Narva_and_Sillamäe_autonomy_referendum
