TIL that Omaze raffles weren’t scams. Always just assumed there was never a winner.
So that wasn’t a scam? I saw endless ads for it online and figured it was bogus.

But they raised 850000 and gave away 2500000 house. Hope it was donated

I’m conflicted by this to be honest, on one hand I’m happy that someone who does good has won something good, on the other hand I think he’s a cnut because I had a ticket in that raffle.. 😛
I absolutely love this. I’m so glad someone so deserving got such a special reward. We need more people like him
While I am happy for him, I do always fear for people who win these properties.
Running this home is a huge expenditure. Even something as simple as mowing the lawn is probably going to need someone to help with for most people, never mind a guy with arthritis!
Huge multi-million pound houses require the funds of a millionaire unfortunately, and that extra £100k won’t go that far.
I REALLY wanted this house – have a go every time, but this is the one I wanted. I’m so pleased it went to a worthy winner – I can stop feeling bitter now! 😆
