Probably a step further into the deranged from Arthur Griffith’s normalish “dual monarchy” concept – Pearse, Plunkett, and MacDonagh apparently gave a good thought to importing the (protestant) son of Germany’s absolutist Kaiser Wilhelm II to reign in Ireland.
There’s no way this chap would avoid interfering in politics when he’s a fucking Prussian – would probably have been killed off at some stage.
Although you can just imagine the likes of Pearse and Yeats teaching him a few words of stammered poetry as gaeilge and shiteing themselves with glee
