  1. It sucks that in this country you need to prove your innocence when your conviction is overturned in order to get compensated for your imprisonment.

  2. It’s kinda sad how convictions are usually disgustingly relaxed but when there is finally a long sentence handed down, they got the wrong person, I hope he was compensated well

  3. Police sometimes illegally destroying evidence that can be used after future forensic breakthroughs, according to the legal charity in the article. Worrying and should be unacceptable.

    Is there compensation for false imprisonment in the UK, when there’s no private business to blame (unlike the post office software case)? I know 36 states in the US have compensation systems. Should be huge compensation. I can’t kidnap an innocent without comeuppance and neither should the state.
