1. You can hear a relative saying “Umay” (her name). Extremely happy she’s saved.

2. Knowing that your loved ones are underneath that rubble, not being able to do anything. Not knowing if they are alive, dead or wounded. Knowing they are maybe dying out of thirst.

   Just the thought is excruciating.

11. My God, this brings me to tears, what a brave little girl and so many others her age and younger that have been rescued, such a beautiful thing to see out of all this darkness that occurred to Turkish and Syrian people. I can’t imagine her terror and so many others have endured.
