[I am reading this and they mention all the places to be a digital nomad](https://gizmodo.com/digital-nomad-work-visa-remote-work-spain-expat-1850079212/slides/7) Germany is a good country to be a digital nomad. And then they mention three months.

But why can’t a person just go to Germany with their computers and work?

I’m an American and I’d like to visit Germany for two or three weeks and work remotely. Would I need this visa? Also do they still require COVID vaccination proof?

  1. Technically you can visit on a tourist visa for up to three months without a problem. During this time you should not be working but the enforcement of you working on your laptop remotley would be nill. If you want to stay longer than three months you would need a freelance visa. Also no covid restrictions anymore.
