The problem is that his supporters will view this as the government/AGS trying to ‘silence’ him, and add more fuel.
Rather than setting him up to be a “martyr for the cause” would it not have made more sense to charge him over the threats he has made to gardai and other state bodies? He’s also made threats previously regarding the airport.
These people are already harping on about “freedom of speech” and perceived censorship.
