Honestly at this point I consider climate change deniers on a similar level to people who think the earth is flat.
I guess now we need another independent inquiry as to why a person of this caliber was, yet again, put in a position of such influence?
Given the reception XR or Just Stop Oil received, most of the UK is OK with some climate change scepticism. It seems a lot of people think it is not going to affect them in their lifetime or that it is not going to be as bad as experts claim it will be. Even many who do believe in climate change are not ready to accept the sheer level of changes that will need to be made to our lifestyles in order to combat its effects. Abbott has found himself a great country to call home when you consider all that.
“90% of the worlds GDP is generated in countries committed to net zero” that seems to be a little misleading. Whilst it’s true that US, Japan, UK and the EU are committed to net zero, the developing world plus China and India pollute at a rate of knots. That 10% does a lot of work in keeping the planet polluted, just look at how many coal burning plants are still produced.
CLIMATE CLIMATE CLIMATE. its just another scapegoats we have more pressing issues right now.
nice to have one person who isn’t obsessed with it involved in government.

(not saying I dont believe In climate change just thats it not as bad a all the people who benefit from net zero say it is)
Just distract the cunt with a bag of onions and ignore him. Fucken Tone the Bone…
As an Australian now. No take backsies. You wanted him. You keep him.
The problem here is anybody that claims there may be a large non man made component to the climate changing is called a conspiracy theorist. This is just covid all over again. Both extreme viewpoints are wrong. Yes the earth has hot and cold cycles and yes we are influencing that cycle. Both of things can be true. We shouldn’t forbid thoughts we disagree with. That was you just get tribalism and people unable to be convinced of a differing viewpoint
