I saw this Ad ond the 20min Mobile Version. This Ad shows Alain Berset getting arrested. The Ad looks like a Newspost and is very disturbing. What did they think when they allowed this Ad??
Isn’t that punishable? Especially since it’s fake news about a specific person.
That’s a google ad. They are responsible for moderating what gets shown. But as you see here they don’t do it. You can also see on youtube where there are a lot of scam ads and even porn.
Google is absolute crap at moderating the content in ads. They just don’t care. YouTube is full of ads that normal creators would get their channels struck down for.
Maybe there is a way to report it? At least you’d think 20min would have an interest not to have this on their site.
$edit: I just had this ad served up on a completely unrelated site because it’s Google’s ad. I reported it and am sure nothing will come of it.

in general i noticed lately a lot of commercials from the “free thinking” community on different social media sites , on twitter there was a commercial for an “independent” journalist (forgot his name cause in the end i reported the ad).
Went on that guys profile and it was full of that typical conspiracy bullshit from America but in german.
very cool that on YouTube documentaries of ww2 get demonetized because it could upset the companies that put ads on YouTube, meanwhile the fucking ads that are shown are literally worst and have a terrible impact

20min didn’t allow this. It’s a google ad, as mentioned above. 20min can only remove it after and flag it. Unfortunately, this is a very common problem for newspaper websites.
20m doesent decide on the ads. A company gives them money to run ads. That company is then given money by scammers to run such ads, which is often an expensive book, pornography, some wonder products etc. Ofcourse I don’t support it, and 20 minutes should work with more reputable sites.

For once, 20 min is not to blame. Those ad spaces are sold automatically. Sometimes, shit like this makes its way in. It also showed up on watson and many other websites. Most they can do is identify it and take it down quickly.
The real crime here is calling 20Minuten a Newspaper.
And they then write an article about the fact that Berset wasn‘t arrested… well played 20 minutes
