This whole case has a highly peculiar. Little seems to add up, including the individuals involved.
She must have floated out to sea, however unlikely it seems .
What did he do exactly? – he checked about a mile and half length of the river hoping for a quick find and he didn’t get it. He did raise the company profile though.
That still leaves a lot of river for the police to sort out so he hasn’t really made their work any easier. He’s probably made it harder in fact by influencing public sentiment to favour a non river theory. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not – like the police said – he/we don’t have all the details.
Some idiots on Twitter saying Diving expert Peter Faulding should lead the investigation lol
I dunno, as time goes on, if she isn’t found over the weekend, I imagine chances of ever finding her are reducing rapidly.
My thoughts – potentially floated out to see, but seems unlikely. If she is in the river and that hasn’t happened, some other unexplained and overlooked accident, i.e. fallen into something that’s made.it hard for her to find. Kidnapped but looking at the area and witnesses that seems challenging. She left of her own accord, but again how do you do this in just 10 minutes with no other trace.
Everything I think of just doesn’t really feel right. And I imagine whatever information the police must have, they’ll feel 100 times worse about not understanding what happened.
Top tip, do yourselves a favour and try not to read social media comments on this, there’s theories speculating about absolutely everything and assuming the police and just been sat by the river for 10 days. Without being a detective I don’t know if any of their points have any weight.
This guy seems like such a grifter. He’s seemingly appointed himself as spokesman and has stepped well outside of his professional expertise. Plus he’s flogging some crappy book he’s written.
This story is a weird one right? Headlines for days for a missing middle class woman.
Let’s cut to the chase – are the press hinting that they think she was murdered? There is so much nudge nudge wink wink going on here, so much hinting of some dark undercurrent without saying anything.
If there’s one thing in this world that is true, it’s that tabloid journalists know how to manipulate the base gossipy instincts of their audience.
‘Not in that section’ does not mean she is not in the river at all. It has been twelve days and it is perfectly possible that her body has moved on to another part. We are now going to see internet detectives come up with more inane theories or go diving in the river themselves to try and find her body themselves.
At this point it wouldn’t surprise me if Nicola was a sleeper agent who needed to disappear, this whole case is very strange.
The reason I think she’s fallen in the river is the dog. The dog was still hanging out at the bench. Unfortunately, she’s probably caught under heavy weeds or in an underground cave or out to sea. Poor lady and her family.
This guy just screams bullshitter to me. He’s full of himself, comes in, bigs up his profile, moves his book forward, and then nopes out….he’s been at this a very short period of time, and yet “categorically” rules it out? Fuck off mate.
It all seems very nudge nudge wink wink , hope she’s found the therapy her wee ones are gonna need I can’t even begin to comprehend
There’s a case study taught on search management courses in the uk where a fish pond (ordinary terraced house back garden job) was searched visually three times, waded by fire service once and searched by police divers once. When it was drained the missing kid was found in it.
Personally I’m sick of hearing from this woman’s ‘friends’. Not helping the situation at all.
Stop talking to the press and undermining the investigation. Instead, please focus on helping the family, ladies. What you’re doing right now is making the situation worse by giving these armchair detectives more ammo.
At what point do we start talking about Alien abduction? … no seriously tho?
This is such a weird situation all round. I hope she’s found so her family can have some peace
If she stepped away from the phone but continued to listen to the TEAMS call via bluetooth as some have suggested – then where are her ear buds or headset?
If she fell on a slippery or icy bank then they probably fell out – mine (JBLs) certainly have in every tumble I’ve taken and if she ended up in the water they almost certainly would have fallen out there as well. So where are they?
Maybe she didn’t actually have a headset or earbuds.
Maybe she just used her phone’s speaker directly and if so then she would have had to put it down (with or without speakerphone) to re-harness the dog. She could have tried to put the harness back on the dog but the dog balked a bit as some do and in her struggle to get it back on she slipped and fell or stumbled down the slope into the water? If the ground was icy or slippery and hard she could have been knocked unconscious. The harness would most likely have slipped off the dog eventually and stayed in place on the ground where it was found?
That seems the most likely chain of events to me but if that was the case then I expect there should have been some tell tales there to confirm it. Hair, glasses, torn or trod down grass, a imprint or indentation in the dirt. Maybe there was but it was missed?
Is this the bloke that was being a smart arse on sky news saying they’d find her straight away? 😂
So why would the police say for definite she drowned ffs
Said it from day 1. No way a full grown woman drowns and disappears in a tiny slow moving river like they cant swim and are made of lead. Plus the hundreds of locals diving teams cadaver dogs boats all out searching for over a week. You’d have to be dumb to believe she fell in and that was it
That fucking diver loves a camera. He was even on GB news. A woman has gone missing and her family are deeply distressed – he’s adding to it.
If she was abducted or murdered what’s to stop whoever did it from throwing her in the river now and causing all kinds of confusion. I know autopsy can reveal a lot about how someone died but the police are so adamant she fell in
This somewhat reminds me of a case in Kansas City back in 2017 or so I recall. Basically a stripclub waitress accidentally drove her car off an icy bridge after being intoxicated and I think was missing for almost a week or two before a PI who scanned the lake actually found her car submerged underwater after police had already scanned the area too.
Otherwise, it makes me question the accuracy, let alone reliability of this investigator that the family hired. Regardless I hope they find answers before it’s too late.
Maybe I’m getting abit to obsessed with this case but this is Google earth. I will stress I have no idea when it was taken last but I’m sure it hasn’t been updated to much because no police or search going on.

Maybe she had enough of life at home and decided to just leave with the clothes on her back. We don’t know what goes on in people’s heads. I hope she’s found safe and well. But sometimes people just like to escape. It must be a nightmare for the family. It is not knowing that keeps you up at night.
