Good morning everyone. We made a survey to hear your opinions about the presidential elections and who you are going to vote.

It will be interesting to compare the results of the survey with the actual results.

The poll is for all Cypriots. Turkish Cypriots are also welcome to fill it(different questions related to this). I want to ask non-Cypriots not to take the survey.

The survey has two parts, one about the election and one about demographic info and the Cyprus problem. The first part takes like 2 minutes. The second part no more than 2. You can just take the survey while waiting in line to vote.

  1. For next time. There are also people who are ‘Cypriots at heart’; who live here since long but for different reasons are not naturalized. This includes ‘settlers’ who feel Cypriots but also foreigners who would meet the criteria for naturalisation but chose not to apply, for example because they want to avoid the military or do not want not to loose their original nationality (some countries do not allow dual nationality). They are more Cypriot than those that bought the citizenship and never set foot on the island.

    I was born after 1974. You mean to ask me whether I was forcefully displaced by my place of residence?

    Or whether my ancestors were?

    Or whether I’m a refugee on paper, meaning I can’t vote for MPs in the district I live in, because my dad is a refugee, ignoring whether my mother is one?
