  1.  >39-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl, an 11-year-old girl, a 10-year-old girl, and a 43-year-old man have all been arrested for their roles in the attack.

    In my mind kicking someone on the floor should be attempted murder. People dont realise how easy it is to kill someone. Real life isnt a movie where the hero takes 100 punches.

    I knew a guy in school who got punched in the back of the head, hit the floor and died.

    Edit – the video is on publicfreakout and its disgusting. The woman is screaming instructions and a line of traffic just sits in the car watches a child getting the everlasting fk beaten out of her. It wouldnt take much to shout and scream and get the girl behind you in a moment of pause.

    I rarely advocate getting involved but I couldnt sit by and watch a child sustain brain damage.

  3. As someone who had to go to hospital with a suspected skull fracture all because some boys at school thought I was gay. I hope the police do more than give them a talking as was my experience.

  4. The School Thomas Knyvett is a school near to where I grew up and it was always known for having a HUGE bullying and racism issues. They had to rename the school to get away from the previous negative name.

    Doesnt surprise me at all.

  8. The girl who was attacked held her own very well, hell knows how she is feeling, sad that until the two males (teachers?) turned up no adults tried to help her.

    As for the family making the attack, dear god, the adults need locking up.

  14. This is so horrible, scary and sad. I also feel sorry for the very young girls (the 10 and 11 year olds) who were being ordered to attack – obviously it’s a terrible thing for them to do, but they are only just at the age of criminal responsibility, and whether that should even be set at 10 is a matter of dispute. They don’t bear equal blame compared to the older woman giving the orders (or the man, however it was that he was involved, which seems a bit less clear).

    I hope the young girls are taken into care, and that the poor victim is receiving good quality support. It’s heartbreaking to think how overstretched CAMHS is at the moment, and how many children who have been through trauma are not getting what they need.

  17. I’ve just watched it and fair play to the girl being attacked, she pretty much held her own the whole way through and actually would have beaten the crap out of the instigator had it been a one on one encounter rather than whatever crap that was.

    Better hope those little girls getting involved don’t get caught on their own are school by her because she will pulverise them.

  22. Of course, it’s perpetrated by the usual suspects, our favourite community. Some of the worst racist abuse I have seen has been from “Irish” travellers/gypsies, yet they’re the ones claiming they have it bad. I wonder why….

  23. If it’s unprovoked (ie not to deter a bully), parents should get the belt out. If the parents were involved, state should get the prison cell key out.
