How the flemish government managed to just shrug off this PFAS pollution thing like it was nothing is astonishing to me. Remember the dioxin crisis and how that caused a massive uproar?
Our politicians have sold our health to 3M. In 2017 they were informed there were health risks and they decided NOT to inform the public. And don’t forget: the civil servants, who’s job it is to check if companies are causing pollution, received orders from higher up the political chain to NOT find anything at 3M.
In short, the damage to our health and environment was only possible thanks to our politicians. People, we already pay a ridiculous high salary, so they would have no reason to become corrupt. This country needs change.

Volgens de Europese drinkwaterrichtlijn zijn de normen voor PFAS-waarden in drinkwater vastgelegd op 100 nanogram PFAS per liter voor de som van een lijst van 20 stoffen uit de pfas-familie. Voor de som van EFSA-4 stoffen is de risicogrens 4 ng/l.
Hoe komt het dat deze grensen zo ver liggen van de richtlijnen in de VS, waar ze praten over max 0.02 ppt (= 0.00002 ng/l) voor PFOS en 0.004 ppt (=0.000004 ng/l) voor PFOA?
Maak ik hier een enorme conversiefout?
Kunnen we die PFAS of EFSA-4 limieten in de verste verte niet vergelijken met PFOS of PFOA?
Zijn ze in Amerika zo extreem voorzichtig?
