There is still nuclear waste. Yes, I know the new reactors create less waste than the old ones. Still, saying that nuclear energy is a clean sort of energy is misleading.

We hebben al jaren geleden beslist dat we alleen nog investeren in duurzame energiebronnen. Kernenergie is niet duurzaam. Daar investeren we dus niet meer in.
Als zelfs zoiets basaals als het nakomen van gemaakte afspraken al niet meer hoeft is, is t niet moeilijk dat we politici krijgen die zich alles permitteren.
Can someone ELI5 why Nuclear is so much better than Gas powered plants and what the best energy source is when we’ll look back at it 30 years from now?
Meanwhile the new Dutch government just announced that they’ll build 2 new nuclear power plants.
We will 100% be getting blackouts when our nuclear power plants close. I can only hope that the politicians that caused this will be punished for that electoraly.
Did they find a solution for the waste? Because I really understand it’s clean and green energy, but what to do with the uranium (or whatever they use) that has been used. What after?
