I’m not in favour of stopping everyone from buying, but I do think a certain amount of backchecks need to be done.
They already do. If defense forces think the prooerty is too close ro something important or for any other reason they will deny the purchase.

It’s not just Finland. Almost all the western countries are going through this to some extent. Russia is now going through a huge wave of immigration. People are starting their lives somewhere else.
Russian immigrants have historically been a big part of European economy and culture, it’s the best ones who are able (or forced) to leave, most of the time. Let them buy it, if they live in Finland and have residency. They’ll become citizens pretty soon and benefit Finland greatly.
