  1. Some folks will pay to listen to any old tosh. I guess if you view it like booking a clown for a kids party, it has its merits.

  2. He’s not paid for speaking, he’s paid for the backroom deals that he makes. He’s bought and paid for by special interest groups as most Tory MPs are.

  3. The press should have checked how he pays tax on this. If he is working with the agency through his own company and he is providing personal service, this means his contract is likely caught by IR35 and given that he is a higher earner, most likely he should have paid about half of that in tax.

I wonder if he is following the rules his own government has set.

Seeing as he can barely produce a coherent sentence when speaking, this is some serious money for old rope.

  5. It’s a skill thing. It’s quite something to watch a sweating fat person talk for a whole hour and only make it through six sentences of complete fantasy.

It’s why people like opera so much.

  6. Don’t forget also living in a luxury property provided for him by a Tory donor. He has this kind of income yet still can’t pay for his own basic subsistence. Its not even funny how out of touch these toffs are yet folks will still have ago at whoever in Labour is currently in the firing line for being somehow upper class.

  7. I find it interesting that one of the most important jobs in the country, making decisions on behalf of the rest of us, can be considered part time. Or is it actually full time work, and the secondary income is fraud? There are only so many hours in the week, and we have become very blasé about how much time the people who work for us actually work for us. Don’t get me wrong, the income in ridiculous, but it’s the potential fraud on being paid twice for the same hours that annoys me. And the lack of morals, ethics and disregard for the law.

  8. What’s he even talk about now he’s not pm?

Is he given motivational speechs or telling people all the loop holes they can jump through without getting in trouble?
