The list of grocery stores/shops which are closed due to the strike from tomorrow until Saturday (Thu 9. – Sat 11.2.). Article in Finnish, but the whole list is at the end, by province/location. Mostly Prismas and Citymarkets, but there are some S-markets, too.

  1. Note: the strike ends at Saturday 5 am. The stores should be open on Saturday morning, but since also some of the logistic centrals are also on strike there might be a bit of delay with transporting and stocking the goods.

  3. Op. Should probably do some shopping today then. Hope the strike goes well and they get what they want. Worker solidarity and all that.

  6. I really need to go grocery shopping today anyways because there’s like nothing in my fridge. Now I’m embarrassed to go because someone might think that I’m hoarding if I buy stuff for more than one day.
    Atleast I don’t need ro buy toilet paper.

  7. I do not envy those working on these locations today. Going to be a busy day.

    What is it with people anyway? It’s couple of days, and most of those stores will probably be open, staffed with supervisors and rental workers, and people act like it’s end of days?

  9. Thanks for the list, will boycott all these stores in the future. Stop whining and get to work! I’m not getting any salary increase this year and you don’t see me complain, I’ll just work harder to earn my 6k per month.

  11. This especially worries me as student, since I am working towards my studies under S-market in contract. If things go bad, it would postphone my studies and I would have no choice but desperately find another contract somewhere. 🙁

  12. Strike does not mean these stores will be closed! Almost every K-citymarket will be open and Prisma too. Only some workers are in strike not all!
