These Richard England designed (formerly Mid Med , before that Barclays) banks will soon be all gone, I thought they deserve some love.

1. Does anyone know where exactly the other (Richard England) Mid Med banks were?

   1964 Mid Med Bank, Sliema

   1968 Mid Med Bank, Qormi

   1971 Mid-Med Bank, Floriana

3. They look like shit so why not?

4. I would like to see Malta in 10 years time… It’s going to be so funny, but we won’t be able to laugh for long with the asthma all this construction has created.

5. Personal opinion but the majority of RE designed buildings look bad. Not worse than what is currently being built but still bad

8. How people call this nice is beyond me. It’s not like we do not have done decent architecture left by the knights.

   And yes agree with the general consensus.. you will miss this when you see the monstrosity that will follow.

9. They are banks not houses.
   Meant to look solid.
   They gave character to our villages. Modern does not me soul less pidgeon holes. These building had ideas not only profit in mind

10. Richard England is so overrated….. let them demolish it, it has no pleasing athletics that catch the eye.

    BTW …. yes I know that what will replace it, will probably be worse..that is the problem!
