I really thought the AfD was going to fade into irrelevance after they lost momentum the last couple of election cycles. Guess not.
That’s incredibly similar to the last Italian election results. Right+far right at 44%, the main centre-left party at 19%, the second main centre-left party at 16% (M5S was above 15%), a centrist party at 6% (just below 8% in Italy).
The only difference (a major one, though) is that CDU/CSU and AfD aren’t allied (and that the system is basically proportional representation).
Bit confusing, as CDU/CSU is actually black and AfD ist blue.

The AfD is way too high, I’m surprised the Greens are also doing fairly well. Assuming an election was held today, I could see a CDU & CSU, Greens, and SPD “grand coalition” during wartime (the Russian invasion of Ukraine).

People have ver different political views and opinions – that’s perfectly fine. But selecting the Russian-ass-licking AFD in this current situation? Selecting the CDU/CSU after they are doing the opposite of what they promised (hard but constructive opposition was the promise) and after there is more and more detail unearth of what they all ignored and left rot in their 16 years in power. I hate people that would vote for a party that has no policy propositions other than “*We are against it*”. AfD has zero fucking solutions for the current problem other than sticking their heads into the sand and pretending that certain problems exist and non-existing problems do exist.
Pretty much in line with the trend everywhere else: traditional labor/conservative parties becoming irrelevant, far right and progressive parties take their place.
German Social democrats suck and the green party is amazing. It’s the reverse of Sweden

This comments here are completly uninformed about the political situation in Germany. In 2022, germany took in even more refugees than 2015. The social security systems are completly overheated. This same YouGov-poll also asked the people what‘s the biggest political problem currently. And for the first time in a few years, immgration was on first place. Thats the main reason for the strength of the AfD, not the Russia-Ukraine conflict on its own.
+7% for literally doing nothing besides fear mongering and incoherent screeching. People are too dumb for democracy.
