I’m looking for a job right now (Marketing/Management) and I’ve worked previously in Web3/cr\*pto/blockchain and my question is very simple:
If I’m a Lux resident and have a contract with an outside entity what legal framework would I be in ? Can I be an Independent and have the duties and benefits? What sort of tax would I pay in this case?
Thanks for your inputs, if you cannot provide any information please refer an accountant or lawyer that you think could advise on this subject.
PS: Why can’t we have the word ” crypt\* ” on our posts…? 🤐
EDIT: found this information but it’s dated 2018 so probably not applicable: [https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/cryptocurrencies-income-overview-luxembourg-tax-treatment-r%C3%A9my-ozcan](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/cryptocurrencies-income-overview-luxembourg-tax-treatment-r%C3%A9my-ozcan)

Assuming you’re simply asking how to work for a company that’s not in Luxembourg legally. See my comment here: https://reddit.com/r/Luxembourg/comments/109xajo/_/j40u1hi/?context=1

Is the company paying your and their Luxembourg social security charges? If yes, it’s the same as being employed by a local company. Otherwise, look at social security and tax treaties between Luxembourg and the country of the company.
You may also register as self-employed. You will pay both employer and employee social security. Taxation is the same for income tax, but you may need to register for and collect VAT.
