Hi guys, for a car rally through Norway i need to find these locations and a jar of dille abba herring. Does anybody know anything about these? Maybe near this route from Kristiansund to Hamar?

  1. Polis is Police in Swedish. The car is a 1960-1964 VW Beetle. There is an old Norwegian childrens TV show called Pelle Politibil, where a 1973 VW Beetle 1300 was the main character (it is not the same car. The 1964 and 1973 is very different from each other). The car from the show lives at Bodø police station. Edit: Several people have mentioned the Beetle at Hamar police station, but this is not the same car either. It is a 1970, and has “politi” written on the door.

The dillsill is sold in Sweden. The only Abba we get regularly is the musical kind.

  2. I know there is(was) a vw beetle police var outside the police hq in Hamar, dont think it is the one in the picture

  3. Lower right with the bench looks like it could be at Lesja centre by the municipality building, which is very close to the Joker store.

  4. The car in the picture is swedish. For some reason they put the swedish car at display in Norway near Trollveggen. Dont know why they didn’t use the Norwegian version, but here’s a [link to google maps](https://www.google.com/maps/@62.4894675,7.7610646,3a,15y,262.71h,90.54t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sJxCRYJvom5qyx3SVdc0HjQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192).

The bench can be found in “Lesja”. Close to their store. [Google maps](https://www.google.com/maps/@62.1182615,8.863533,3a,15.7y,23.19h,85.49t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sEYZTPYsi4HFPWDZM5XQm2w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192) (Credit to u/Slidingonpaper)

The “Handel” sign is fairly common. But you can find one example in Bjorli. Which should be on your route. [Googler maps](https://www.google.com/maps/@62.2591307,8.2039272,3a,28.3y,49.8h,92.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sM20Zn5TmmTgU5GWS2mzFNw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192).

  5. It looks like a good route, but if you’re after view and time isn’t a huge factor, I could recommend driving over Valdresflye, down to Valdres and then to Hamar over Nordre Land. Of course, Sognefjorden is also worth a watch and alot of other places, but yeah. Not that your side route through Gålå, Helvete and Gausdal are bad in the slightest. And you could even stop to visit Helvete! Or Gålåspelet if you’re into that.

  6. The abba dill herring is Swedish, as stated in earlier comments. But can easily be bought in the IKEA food store in Norway.

  7. Thanks already for the help guys!! You are awesome!
Do you think the 1886 could be the construction date of a church or something?
And are the 16,00 etc maybe prices or times?

  8. Like 50 of you guys drove through my hometown the last 3 days, mostly cars from the netherlands, crazy shit, but i live in Kristiansund

  9. Someone in the comments mentioned an old car with luggage on top, and now I’m curious.

My five year old and I were walking home Tuesday evening when a bunch of older cars with luggage on top, a lot of lights, and very loud horns drove past. They kept honking at my daughter and I, and did not stop even though she was very obviously upset and scared by the loud noises.

Kinda pissed me off. You mentioned Hamar in your post, and I’m very close to there. I don’t know if you were one of the people in that long ass line of cars, but if you were, don’t go honking at children.

  10. As a sidenote, are you by chance part of a ~100 car strong convoi from the Netherlands, driving past Trollveggen earlier today?

  11. Thanks for all the tips, we found most of the places because of you!
Yes we are dutch aswell, participating in the carbagerun rally through Sweden and Norway. Idea is that the car be built before 2000 and worth max 500 euros.
