I remember posting this on reddit back when it happened, and getting shit on for being anti-Tom Cruise.
Is it me or is it a bit weird just how many comments there are in that /r/DamnThatsInteresting thread defending Tom Cruise and trying to “add context” to paint him in a favourable light without providing a single source for it?
I remember it was particularly cold that day, to the point where it’d be pretty awful for anyone to be standing still for longer than 10 mins. He asked for the heater to be brought out, refusing to get out of the car unless it was there (although I’m not 100% sure about that). He spent a good deal of time with people outside The Savoy, taking photos, etc – so, while extravagant, not unreasonable. I do know the Studio PR people were extremely stressed that day. I was supposed to be there to shoot an interview, but got a rotten cold so missed out.

He’s a famous rich dude who is cold, I think it’s fair enough tbh. People want photos of Tom Cruise in a suit looking sharp not him in a big parka. Her could either not stay out for ages, be freezing, wear a coat or get a heater.
