Old picture with war in ukriane there is less light in that region
Damn, Italy is so lit.
Too few have learned their lesson about light pollution so far.
You can basically see all the major cities.
It so weird that even at this scale I can make out where I live pretty damn exactly just from light shapes…
You can really see that most people live in the south of sweden
Bright point in central Scandinavia, yup, that’s Östersund – my hometown.
Remember that The Netherlands have light on most of their motorways….
Belgium is LIT 🔥
Honestly surprised by the northern Portugal coast
I don’t even live in any of the big spots of continuous light, and yet the closet truly dark sky is either 500 km east on the Slovakian-Ukrainian border, on in the middle of the Baltic sea.
A road trip to the former has been on my bucket list for three years now. This year will be the first in which it is possible.
Wow! Athens! 💡
Looks like you can see the snow atop mountains in the north. Something similar looking is happening down south though. What is it really? Clouds?
Wow Spain is quite dark
There is still enough electricity to light the city.
It’s sad how nature has been destroyed
Woah, i can see my hometown (it’s just 10k of people big)
Moscow is so bright.
So basically everyone in Norway live on the coastline
You can see the border between Baltics, Poland and Romania vs. Belarus and Ukraine.
It nicely shows the refions: Western Europe lit af, Central Euroe still mostly lit, Eastern Europe only large towns.
hey i can see my wohnung from here!

Cool picture. Do you know when it was taken? And can we find an evolution on time?
