1. Oh good. I mean, after all, no one with the title “Oil Boss” could be wrong about that.

   This oil exec is comparing climate change deniers to Galileo or Einstein. Saying the consensus on climate change today is no different to the religious consensus opposed to both of them in the past.

   Galileo I understand, but what persecution did Einstein experience for his theories?

9. I was listening to that guy in the car yesterday. He was shameless and it’s people like him in charge that makes me feel like we’re doomed. I just don’t think the human race has it in us to fix this problem. That’s why I think it’s better to prepare for climate change instead of putting all our effort into fixing it. Because clearly that’s not going to happen as long as it’s more profitable to destroy the environment.

15. He’s being extremely disingenuous when he says that temperatures have fluctuated 5-7 degrees. They have, of course, but never while human beings have existed and over the span of millions of years.

    The last Ice Age was 4 degrees colder than preindustrial times and lasted more than two million years. Earth is now 1.2 degrees warmer than it was during the 1850s.
