Living in Germany for almost 2 years now and still can’t quite figure out how to pump my bike 📷

I’ll post my tire, pumper and the adapter I use:

The problem is when I insert de adapter into my tire, it begins to quickly deflate. So after I manage pumping it, I have to remove the adapter and the same problem from before happens again, the tire empties fast.

So I can never quite fully fill the tire.

Any tips would be most helpful!

Thanks and have a great weekend

  1. Your friendly local Fahrradladen can give you better advice, and I can’t quite make out the type of valves from the photos, but:

You never should have to put an adapter on the valve. Either fasten the adapter to the pump (so if you remove the pump, the valve closes; then you can pump it up fully and loose basically no air when removing it), or, if that doesn’t work with your pump, find a pump that doesn’t need an adapter.

  2. Looks like a normal Schrader Valve to me.
With various different pumps i have never needed an adapter for this valve type.
