Czernina is actually a symbolic meal in Poland.
If you visits parents of your girlfriend for the first time and they eventually serve you that blood soup that means you’ll never marry the girl, as they do not give their permission to do so.
In one word Czernina means you’ve been rejected. Nada. Niet. Goodbye. Girl is forbidden. Forget it. You are fucked up.
Now, is this tradition perpetrated those days? Nan.
Parents do not even know how to prepare that soup and the prétendent would not get what’s going on. 😂
My mother and sister actually really like czernina. I hate it (I am fine with kaszanka, so it’s not the blood that is a problem for me)
