I have heard a folk song here

I understand some words and tried to google them, but to no success. Is it something that was created only for this movie?

  1. Tried to google some of the lyrics, but can’t find anything either.

  2. It seems vaguely reminiscent of some patriotic songs but searching for the intelligible parts of the text doesn’t produce any hits. The text doesn’t seem to be in the original novel either.

  3. it seems like it was created for the movie but I don’t know

  4. I don’t think so, but it’s not popular at all. Judging by the words it could be some song from Śląsk Cieszyński territory.

    My take

    za wolności krzyże męki

    a więc wiosną łez krynica

    gdzie ojczyzny jest kośnica

    lecz gdy jeszcze słońce wstanie

    stopić niewoli łańcuchy

    krzyż tyraństwa w dłoni złamie

    gdy wolności słońce wstanie

    niech mi puszcza pozostanie

    […] dadzą […] okruchy

    gdy wolności słońce wstanie

    stopić niewoli łańcuchy…

    Kośnica=kostnica (morgue) [https://pl.wiktionary.org/wiki/ko%C5%9Bnica](https://pl.wiktionary.org/wiki/ko%C5%9Bnica)

You can ask at The Library and Film Information Centre of PWSFTviT in Łódź (by mail for example), they are responsible for [filmpolski.pl](https://filmpolski.pl) database and they have much more than you can find online.

edit: It could be wrote by Zygmunt Konieczny too.

  5. If you have lit of time, go to oskarkolberg.pl and publications site, download every publication (80 books around) and search every one of them. You may be lucky.

  6. My guess is written by Zygmunt Konieczny for this tv show only.
