  1. So what is in his emails that he will be embarrassed by if its shared?

And also, are these people not taught about how phising attacks work?

  2. Almost by definition, if you’re the one who got hacked there’s no way to know who hacked you. You’re the one who got controlled and exploited. It doesn’t offer you any insight into who the perpetrator was. They were in control. The article offers zero proof (because there isn’t any) and is full of qualifiers like, “it is *believed..”,* etc.

99 times out of 100, claims like this are total conjecture.

  3. Sounds like he’s been up to something and got caught out, this farce is to cover any “fabricated lies” that might come out later. The FBI did this to twitter over Hunter Bidens laptop. If you fuck up, blame it on the Russians, soon to be the Chinese too.

  4. He should be prosecuted for using a private email account for government business. It’s a very clear breach of any security policy and shows he’s not trustworthy.

  5. So he clicked on a link in an email and then entered his email password on the page that came up.

Doesn’t say much for either his intelligence or the cyber security training he was given.

  6. Good job we had that report on Russian interference in our government…

Oh wait, it was blocked by the tories.

  7. >And I can expect them to manipulate and fake some of that content and I want to get out ahead of that to ensure any disinformation attack against me is discredited before it’s even published

Uh oh. Get your popcorn ready.

  8. If the head of MI6 was dooped into the same trick, it couldn’t be the level of intelligence of a person … that got him in this predicament
