The good Friday agreement needs replaced with something to suit the time.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d have voted yes for it if I was old enough at the time and it was desperately needed. But it is a product of its time and things have changed.
It’s frustrating as hell that either party can tank the entire assembly and hold is to ransom. I wrote a cheeky letter to that smarmy prick Donaldson thanking him for making sure fuck all else can get done (in particular reference to Pediatric Neurology services that my daughter depends on but is collapsing). He writes back to say he “has a clear mandate that the protocol is what people care about top priority”. No, It’s the boomers that are still terrified of a UI that they’ll vote DUP every fucking time then complain that they’re shit.
