if you can in the UK, donations to Oxfam are going to help Earthquake victims currently

  2. I never thought search and rescue teams literally goes into the rubble like that. Such a brave people. And that was an odd encounter for the rescued man. I bet he will never forget these words: “Hello, It’s Malcolm, the doctor”

  3. Incredible bravery in crawling through jagged concrete, glass, rebar and wires of a collapsed building.

  4. There isn’t enough money to pay to these guys for what they are doing. But still i hope these people would have long and happy life with their loved ones, they won’t be forgetten.

  5. As someone who caves every once in a while, i feel i need to inform people who might think this is just nutty, … that they have no clue just how nutty this is. I’m half a mind to think that the rubble hasn’t collapsed because of the massive balls of the rescue team.

At least in a cave, you can read the breaks, you can asses slabs and figure out if your breakfast was too much to let you pass the squeeze… but there’s no such thing here because rubble above you can collapse, rubble below you can collapse, stuff to your right, stuff to your left… you can make it safe, but you can never be 100% sure.

    Incredibly brave.

  6. Holy shit, I could never imagine myself doing that except for maybe one or two of my most favorite people. (Although even then I obviously don’t have the training that one should have for something like this)

  7. Those are the heroes, I hope when this messy situation is over, we see a documentary about all of those heroes who came from all over the world to help those in need. This is the binnacle of humanity.

  8. Check the coal miners from my home town Zonguldak. They leaded searching and rescuing. Many countries’ professional groups like korean group stated that they couldnt get into some deep points to save a living one. But those miners used “chock” technique , showed great bravery and saved many lives. Normal rescue teams was able to dig 1 meters for one hour with full equipments, but the miners digged 5 meters in a half hour with only a pickaxe in the wrecks. They are now very popular in Turkey, seen as heroes of the disaster.

Also thank you english group and also countless thanks to all who came in Turkey to help us. You will never be forgotten. 🙏

  9. So grateful for all the rescue teams (both local and international) who are operating right now. It really means alot. They are all true heroes.
