  4. If that’s a “climate demonstration” the next Freiheits-Trychler march better be labeled as a “Healthcare March”, that would be approximately equally fitting.

It’s so fucking sad that the extreme left has kidnapped the climate debate. It would be so important to do something about the climate, but with the way things stand now, no one in their right mind can support “climate”-demonstrations.

  5. I live in Claraturm and watched the madness unfold around me. The police seemed to keep their distance and were mainly trying to keep them on the right path. Meanwhile, the protestors were throwing fireworks at the police and they left graffiti on apartment walls and advertising signs.

As far as I can tell the only outcome of that protest was pissing off residents and holding up traffic.

It was not a planned or approved protest and half of them had their faces covered. If they intended to have a peaceful protest why cover your face?

I understand the frustration about climate change or other important topics but I’ve never understood the point of these protests. Also why people hate on the police, they are just doing their jobs. They could have turned them away as the protest was not approved or planned but they didn’t. They gave them a route to take and made sure they stuck to it.

  6. It must have been over very quickly. I just went to Obi for an hour, and my only clue that anything had happened was slightly disrupted trams.

  7. It’s the same shit as with pride. Who is the loudest block? The extreme left/juso block. Is it queer pride or anticapitalist pride? Please let us have that moment and don’t make this about you again. Especially since there are also a lof of cis/het people among them.

I often see the whole “green” label on the extreme left get slapped onto all kinds of social policies. What way do we fight global warming? Tax the rich! Do we differentiate between how that money was made? No, because money can’t be made without damaging the environment, so creating ten tons or a hundred tons of CO2 is the same to us. (Which they labelled as “Die beste Initiative” for some reason). Why not stop that CO2 from being released into the atmosphere in the first place?

And i know that tgey wouldn’t use that money for a turnaround either or come up with laws that actually tackle the root problems.

As a very, very green person i am getting sick and tired of the extreme left. Besodes, not a single person from i personally know/have met from them actually lives by the things they preach and it just makes me mad, because sometimes even the GLP seems to be greener than the SP.

Another experience i had in a discussion with someone from the juso: I said that it’s strange that the right doesn’t care about the climate because it’s a topic that does affect everyone and if they truly love their home country ect., they’d protect it. Answer, yes but they don’t and the left does. Therefore the right shouldn’t be green but instead everyone should be left.

Just feels like i am becoming a radical because noone else cares or will actually fight for my interests woth the exception of maybe the green party.
