Mavrogianis might announce his chosen one for the position of finance minister. Given he recently meet and got endorced by Christofides is it fair to speculate that he might appoint Pissarides?
Probably if he anounces (regartless) the person, he is doing it to calm everyone down whodoesent want an AKEL member in that possition. I think a lot of peoples vote will depent on this factor alone.

Seems like having a more technocratic cabinet would go a way to convince people he’s not an AKEL stooge (even though he’s said no ministers will be from AKEL).
Seems the whole election hinges on how pissed Foullis voters are.

If he can get Pissarides to agree it would be a big move. Best known economist on the island and Nobel prize winner, it will surely put to rest a lot of the concerns around the economy aspect of his candidacy.
AKEL’s disadvantage is the economic failure of previous term. Announcing Pissarides for that position will be a very clever move.
I guess he must have tried to find someone better but he stacked with Prountzos who is not adding any value to his bid.
Well AM named Prountzos a lawyer who three weeks ago said he didn’t believe a lawyer should be a finance minister at the present moment. So yeah.
