  1. It’s just a film bro, and having your nationality typecast as the villain is kind of cool anyway – I’m not offended that back in the day Hollywood villains had RP English accents

  2. Wakanda had all this technology and advanced weapons and yet they haven’t lifted a finger when dudes with muskets conquered the continent, who’s the real villain?

  3. Doesn’t France still have a neo-colonial grip over most of its former colonies. Idk why they’re so worried about a movie’s representation of France when they’re doing pretty villainous things irl

  4. I saw the movie, but really didn’t pay too much attention to this scene, but what I do recall from the UN scene is that there are the US and French UN representatives shown, so I thought it was implied that the soldiers that were apprehended by the Wakandan’s & paraded in front of the UN belonged to both those nations.

  5. As a french i have to say
Yes some people (bernard arnault, bollore) steal african country.
Some of our industry steal oil and are protected by our soldiers.
That’s why this puppet’s crying like a little baby.

  6. Not France, just one minister. The french government isn’t the french people and doesn’t speak for us.

  7. Did Wakanda Forever just release in France? Or they waited till it came on their Disney+ subscription to see it? 🤣

  8. France threw Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.

  9. How convenient. This drama has been launched by the French government in that specific timing for one reason and one reason only : deflect any media attention to the Retirement reforms demonstrations the French people have been organizing for weeks and the fight against these unfair reforms. The government is trying to grasp at any controversy to shift the focus of the media to anything but the fight against these highly unpopular reforms.

  10. Those evil marvel kids movie spreading the unfounded falsehoods that France has a neocolonial grip on Africa and exploited african politics and economies both before and after independence. This must be some kind of russian plot there’s nobody has ever mentioned this before now.

  11. Hollywood has always been a USA propaganda machine. Even many productions get funding from the USA army. It is not surprising that Capitan America is a hero and the armies from other countries are the bad guys. Nothing new on this front.

The European Union should start to think about its home markets, the fragmentation of languages makes it very difficult to create successful high budged movies in the continent. But it would be good to have more movies with an European flavor.

China is no losing time on this, it is increasing its number of movies and budgets.

  12. Maybe they shouldn’t have done a bunch of horrible shit if they didn’t want to be depicted that way.
