Ya. And this is not even a joke, but like many have said, i also often just nod! At people i know pretty well! Like coworkers! I do talk to them too, of course, but like now that i started thinking about it, it just seems a bit silly lol. I see them first thing in the morning, they nod, i nod, nobody smiles, we go our separate ways. THIS IS A PERSON I HAVE GONE BAR HOPPING WITH SEVERAL TIMES. I CONSIDER THEM A FRIEND! I HAVE TALKED ABOUT PERSONAL THINGS WITH THEM!

Finns are actually very polite. Imo way more polite than Norwegians and Swedes for example. Finland is the Canada of Europe.
Seriously, your typical Finn is so polite that they won’t tell you if you’re breaking the social norms. They just die internally and curse dumb foreigners lol
