The Irish Government broadly supports recognizing the state of Palestine, but is pushing to do it at an EU level rather than unilaterally as it will have much more impact and meaning at EU level.
The Papal recognition is temporary no doubt:
Step 1) incite conflict in the region
Step 2) watch the locals tear each other apart
Step 3) Go on a crusade and conquer Jerusalem in the name of Christendom as it always was meant to be!

It is very sad that the west does not recognize the apartheid and the ethnic cleansing of the native palestinians by the colonizer israelis.
I was surprised that Czechia recognizes Palestine, all the way back since 1988. But it does not seem to matter that much, and [Czechia votes consistently in favor of Israel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:UN_Resolution_of_Palestine_as_Observer_State.svg).
