Yesterday was election day in canton Zurich. Those elections are said to be a good predictor for the national elections next year. From the table above CVP/die Mitte has taken the voting share of BDP and the greens have lost to the Corona-Crew at die Aufrechten.
I wonder how the svp will do. I think they are strong with the people who will vote them anyway, with many being fed up with the Sonderstatus S and all that. But right now I don‘t see them having a topic that the „normal swiss“ will have them vote for them. Their fight against wokeism probably only scores with people already voting for them too.
“Wählen ist wie Zähneputzen, machst du es nicht wird es braun”
“elections are like brushing your teeth, if you don’t participate it gets brown”
Planet: Is burning.
People: I will elect right-wing politicians who deny that the planet is burning and think the biggest problem of our time is men wearing skirts.

Is there a pointer to where people who stopped voting for the SVP went, and where the Grünen and GLP supporters came from, considering the relative stability of other party’s shares?
Would be interesting to see how many votes a right leaning green party could get.
For example: Against mass migration to protect bio diversity in Switzerland.
Is there something in this direction? Which is also a real people party unlike the SVP?
Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I cannot vote yet but all other immigrants I know here are voting SVP and FDP. Is this an expected result or better/worse than was expected?
Do the minority parties exist in french cantons ?
I know SVP is UDC, SP is PS, Grune is Verts .
And by the color I assume that FDP is PLR and GLP is Verts-Liberaux ?
But what are the others ?
Edit : by the way, FDP is French abbreviation for Son of a Bitch, if you didn’t know 🙂
Regardless if you’re happy about the results of this election. 35-37% (BL and ZH) participation is fucking tragic.
Like seriously. How apathetic is this country.
I have no idea about parties here and what this election means but if I look at the chart
Jesus, how is it possible to have so much Polarisation in our society; Top 3 – SVP, SP and FDP are in 3 different regions.
The two biggest values (SVP and SP) are diametrically opposite in the chart.
What is this ?!
SVP the best 👍
How many seats are 5 % ?
I am very surprised SVP is number 1 in Zurich.
The people calling themselves immigrants here and say they vote for SVP is hilarious to me. Why would you actively vote against your interests.
All SVP ever does is create problems that don’t exist or just import them from other countries and put themselves in front of solutions that would actually help people.
20 years here paying taxes and no vote. It’s not my nationality that matters it’s my contribution
