  1. Anybody who believes this is a partnership anything like as genuine the partnerships we see in the West is fooling themselves. This is simply a case of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”

  2. China and Russia have been working on bettering their relationship for decades now. It is not just a recent thing because of Trump, Biden or Ukraine issues.

Since then, they have been able to [peacefully resolve](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Sino-Soviet_Border_Agreement) their border issues.

Economically, bilateral trades between two nations have been increasing many folds.

Militarily, both nations don’t feel the need to build forward bases near each other’s border anymore. They even have jointed military exercises in each other’s soil.

Politically, friendly and constructive and issues between them are peacefully resolved.

China and Russia was able to do this because their strong independent foreign policies and wont’ allow foreign/third party manipulate them. That is how they build their [Power of Siberia]
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_of_Siberia) pipeline even as many western medias putting out negative spins and attack the project and continuously spreading fearmongering how China is going to invade and reclaim Siberia from Russia.

  4. Yeah, that should last for all of a week or two.

The 2001 agreement lasted two decades but China’s irredentist claims aren’t just drawing lines to the south and they’ll look to take back everything lost in the Unequal Treaties including Russian outer mongolia.
