This earthquake might actually have had geopolitical implications due to the sheer amount of damage it caused to Turkey. Hell, if I recall correctly, even the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 didn’t cause such an amount of damage, percentage-wise, to the economies of the regions it hit. And Erdogan bragging about this? Gasoline on the fire.
