Is this a scam?

  1. Unfortunately it’a not. Private Post users need to enroll with SwissID. The process itself is relatively straightforward, it’s just a (to the end-user) unnecessary addition of an external service.

To verify that it’a legit, just go to https://www.post.ch/ and log in normally. You’ll be asked to start the enrollment process.

  2. The switch is happening, but the email could still be bogus and have links to other, malicious websites.

The prudent thing to do in such a situations to go manually, or through your bookmarks, to the relevant website (not clicking on any of the links in the email) and log into your account.

  3. No, the change to SwissID is real. The mail seems also real but maybe you could check from which email address it got sent by.

  4. It kinda is, yes.

The official Swiss Post wants us to force down our throat that system that no one wants to use and that was funded by public money.

I said no and will not continue to use their service until they give me back the regular login process.

  5. Would prefer if they finally stopped spamming me about this, given that I’ve long enabled and switched to SwissID…

  6. You can also have a look at the link that is on the button “jetzt umstellen” without clicking it. If it doesn’t lead to somethin.something.post.ch then ist probably fake…
