The Sims
I mean, in the game I’m currently playing, the Main Character is living with the aunt that raised them, who’s decided to let a bunch of boarders stay too.
The one before that, the main character lived in the storage room above a cafe owned by a friend of a friend of their parents, in exchange for helping out in the cafe on the weekends.
I don’t think we’re getting affordable housing in gaming either right now.
Whenever I build a house in minecraft it just serves to remind me that I’ll never be able to afford one myself.
I always felt like FfXIV was good for this anytime an expansion came out housing was hard to obtain
