Belgian politics in a nutshell. We have politicians screaming about road safety but are afraid to do anything against the number one killer on the road. Politicians screaming about nature but ignoring that most farms are the biggest pollution in Belgium.
Holslag should know better that the EU is not powerfull enough compared to China and it will only get worse. Only the US has some power left to go against China.
Thankfully we have the Nato so we have some ties left with the US, but the EU is as powerful as a kitten against the economical might of China.
I personally blame capitalistic liberalism and companies profit mongering ways. Companies moved production to china to make more profit but It’s biting us in the ass now.
Paradoxically, a lot of goods produced in China are cheaper in the US because they have at least some production left to compete with China.
Dodging responsibility is what our current generation of politicians does best. Just look at the entire Flemish government, it’s basically all they do.
I dont like any politician. What makes people think he will ever take responsibility?

Ik denk dat Charles enkel Ursula von der Leyen wil ontlopen.
De invoertaks op alles heeft ook niet geholpen want voorheen beperkte de mensen zich nog vaak tot de 21 euro regel maar nu wordt VAT automatisch geregeld en heb je geen beperkingen.
