Soups with noodles are overrated. Except for the instant soups, obviously, but only if the noodles are crushed.

That’s just halfway through. Back when I was a kid we ate pomidorowa with potatoes from Sundays dinner.
Don’t use mashed potatoes though. They can be cold right out of fridge, but you should cut them with your spoon so they warm faster from the hot soup.
Ps. There’s also zupa ryżowa which is very similar to pomidorowa z ryżem but the rice is boiled together so it’s very dense.

To be fair I would always prefer lane kluski over rice in both soups
Problem with rice is that you need to eat it the same day you prepared soup, if you don’t want to risk some gastric problems.

In Portugal some people eat “caldo de arroz” which is chicken soup with rice instead of pasta, in the Philippines they have that same dish but they call it “arroz caldo”
