  1. Q4 GDP growth – Europe 0.0%. Germany -0.2%. USA 2.9%

Looks like USA are the winners while Europe pay the price.

  2. The warm weather certainly helps but in the Netherlands we had the lowest gas usage in 50 years. Everyone did really chip in to try and use less gas.

Even accounting for the warmer weather we still used 15% less gas! That’s a very good result.

  3. Man, those music videos where Russians are dancing around some burning gas stoves was not the flex they thought it was.

  4. He’s facing defeat on all fronts. I don’t know when Russians will understand that he doesn’t give a sh#t about them, just himself

  5. The war in Ukraine has achieved something climate scientists have failed to do for decades . Convincing the general population that renewable energy is better than oil and gas.

There’s been such a culture change in my country now that we get national news articles bragging about how windfarms are out-producing powerplants beside them. Its great.

  6. Do love the ignorance of this sub, just dancing around in the European bubble.

Imagine cheering for a energy war with the alternative being LNG imported on cargo ships and heavily subsidized with taxes.

The idiocy in this sub while maintaining a superiority complex is just ironic. The transition to LNG took us a hearty bait which is not reliable for a long term solution accounting costs and reliance.

I even saw a comment stating this is a European war… Damn

  7. What annoys me the most about this is that Swedish consumers do not use gas and we export electricity to the rest of the EU.

Yet Swedish consumer electricity prices are up to 3 times higher than continental European countries (germany, belgium etc) that uses gas.

  8. Day 357 of my three-day super-special military special operation against the satanic jewish fascist gay godless globalists. Every day I lose hundreds of young men, Europe hardly buys any raw materials from me and forces me to give away what I still sell at half price. And I am only half-heartedly supported even by my autocratic bffs in China or India. But the half-bald dwarf I saw in the mirror this morning encouraged me in my mission, because I am and will remain a master strategist.

  9. American here.
What does the war feel like from your perspective? Does the news you read give you the belief that Russia is losing?

I feel like much of what I read over here gives me the impression they are really in a stale mate..
