Odegaard vs Haaland tonight, who do you support?

  1. Hellou, I’m curious to know who Norwegians like to back the most when it comes to these two brilliant footballers. I’d lie if I said I wasn’t jealous. I’m from Finland and whilst our national team has made huge leaps in the past few years, we still haven’t spawned two absolute units like these two.

  2. As we say in Norway. The most important is not to vinn, but to delta. I see two wholesome boys who looks forward to playing with their ball together. I hope they both have fun and that nobody is mean to eachother on the playground. Pancakes and tomato soup when they come back in.

  3. The game startet 20.30, that is past the badtime of most ManCity supporters so I guess Arsenal will win on the supporter side.

  4. I don’t support either team, and because most Norwegians who give a crap about English football already have a favourite team I don’t think many have picked/changed teams because of these two. If they stay where they are for a few years, Arsenal and City naturally have an edge among Norwegian kids who haven’t decided on a favourite team yet (and aren’t raised as supporters of a particular team).

Both are popular too. Haaland is the biggest star by some margin, but Ødegaard is generally seen as a *really* good guy. I’ll make an educated guess and say that the majority of Norwegian adults who don’t support either team support Ødegaard’s Arsenal tonight, but would still think a Haaland goal is okay. In part due to Arsenal and Ødegaard being the underdogs compared to City and Haaland (maybe not that much now, but in August they obviously were), and we all know Haaland’s City will have plenty of success either way. And in part due to Ødegaard simply being seen as such a good guy it’s difficult to hope for anything bad to happen to him. Unless you support a team with a much more intense rivalry with Arsenal than City, of course, like Tottenham.

  5. I’m rooting for Haaland. My sister’s boyfriend is an Arsenal fan. Any day I can give him shit for Arsenal losing is a good day.

  6. I’ve followed Ødegaard’s career since he was 15, he’s been the favorite to watch up until Haaland went mad and ruined my clubs title hopes at our own ground with 4 goals in twenty minutes and everything after. Both are exceptional to watch. Proud asf they are Norwegian. If we are talking english football then Ødegaard for POTS and Haaland golden boot. Everything else is unimportant to me.

  7. For me it’s a win-win whether Arsenal or City win the league. The most important thing is that United does not.

  8. No-one. I think I know who they are? But don’t like football. And have zero interest in Norwegians competing for foreign clubs/teams.
Or Norwegians playing for Norwegian clubs. Football is literally the worst sport of all time, boring as fuck and…. *redacted*
