I’m somewhat uneasy of the parliamentary immunity being lifted that easily in part because of his shift of opinion on Qatar. Primary motivation for parliamentary immunity is to precisely allow MPs to express whatever views they have without retaliation.
Now I understand if it were done so for fraud of any kind (as it might likely be) but I’m not at ease with it happening so easily.
