This guy is not right in the head, he was spending the day goading the far right protesters.
Funny though, as soon as he drove through the crowd all the far right goons on Twitter started blaming Paul Murphy and Hazel Chu?
Someone will be very hurt though, this section of protesters are being as passive aggressive as you can be. Protesting outside places where refugees are living and blocking busy roads. They are waiting for incidents like these to help their futile racist quest.
There’ll be a few Darwin awards handed out this year I feel.
Let’s get this right and call it as it is. A seemingly deranged and impressionable man livestreamed himself driving at a crowd of protestors. Some of the blame for this has to lie with those who have spent weeks on end vilifying everyone out protesting as hateful, racist and “far right” people. Weeks of gaslighting have most likely reinforced the idea in this guy’s head that he was justified in doing what he did.
Let’s also not pretend that should a refugee become the victim of a violent assault that these prominent people on the left wouldn’t be blaming the protestors instantly. I really do fear this is going to happen. I hope to god not but there is bound to be a seriously bad egg out there who’ll do something horrible.
I suppose one of the things I’m trying to say here is that the constant tribalism is very bad for discourse and social cohesion. We can attack people’s ideas whilst not attacking people. The rhetoric needs to be toned down across the board.
I wonder would the title of the article be worded different if a far right activist attacked a pro refugee protester with a car 🤔
Something like this was inevitable unfortunately.
Come on people, if you want to protest refugees, protest at the Dail. If you have a problem with people coming from horrific war torn countries after living lives that our generation will most likely never know, then direct your hate towards the government. It’s them!
Theyre the ones that are in charge of all this, the housing, the health system, all of it. Don’t fuckin protest where there are innocent people living. Its fuelling the hate. Do you really think refugees are going to say “hey they’re right, let’s go home everybody!!!”. No, they’re fuckin trying to survive. They’re going to resent us as a culture and this divide will be the cause of further social issues down the line. Guaranteed!!
Ffs !
Seen the vid, its being greatly exaggerated. Still dangerous and poor form but more in the style of frustrated motorist than political statement.
Interesting that the National Party, as well as Tommy Robinson are rallying around these protests, roiling people up.

imagine had one of these protestors ran over someone with a car bells and whistles would be blaring. so fucking quite now aren’t ye?
