I had a lot of sympathy for this pub and those involved. It wasn’t tha bad.
It wasn’t right what they did, but at the same time we were down to like 1 case per day back in that summer. The risk of any kind of super spreader event was low. It was easy scapegoat for many.
Nobody involved in Golf-Gate really got punished, which is pretty galling.
I’d forgotten about this place, reading about it again reminds me of Jess Brennan and the statement she released lol.
They are going to have taco now 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Probably worth pointing out that everyone in the bar that day were in their twenties and there was about five cases a day in the entire country at the time.
